Under general supervision, provide technical advice and guidance in Metallurgical testing and analysis, process improvement and quality improvement.  Will monitor process performance, troubleshoot process problems and track process metrics for Quality Assurance. Will also assist in maintaining the ISO 9001 quality system.

  • Monitor process performance, troubleshoot issues, and track process metrics
  • Assist in Metallurgical testing and analyses of processes or procedures
  • Report on process/quality issues and make recommendations to the Quality and Operations Managers
  • Assist in failure analysis of wire break samples and provide technical support for customers
  • Provide technical support for Operations and Sales
  • Assist in maintaining the ISO 9001 Quality System including internal audits and document control
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or related Engineering discipline and three (3) years of experience in Metallurgy or closely related Engineering field, OR
  • Master’s degree in appropriate Engineering discipline and two (2) years of experience in Metallurgy or closely related Engineering field
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of Engineering
  • Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
