Under supervisory direction from the Front Desk Administrator, this position coordinates the Coffee Shop area of the Recreation Center and assists the Front Desk Administrator where needed.
  • Training Barista and total quality control of the Coffee Shop
  • Reconcile all monies and discrepancies as per Company Policy
  • Manage and maintain equipment in the Coffee Shop
  • Maintain positive customer relations specifically in the Coffee Shop area and throughout the Recreation Center
  • Remain current with all certifications, trends in industry, and safety standards
  • Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
  • Promote a marketing plan for the ongoing development of the Coffee Shop
  • Conform to established program budget(s), monitor expenditures, and provide assistance for budget development and cost control activities
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory; and resolve discrepancies when they occur
  • Assist in preparation of reports and other evaluation methods
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Two (2) years of experience working in a Coffee Shop or Restaurant including lead experience and one (1) year of customer service experience
    • Current Food Handlers Certification
    • Knowledge of current trends in the Coffee industry
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply marketing practices
    • Knowledge and ability to supervise employees
    • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
    • Ability to maintain positive community and working relationships
    • Competency in the use of MS Office Software
