Advanced Exploration Project (Short Term of 8 Months)

The Company
Globe 24-7 in partnership with our client, is working together to source experienced and qualified talent for their existing world class gold processing facilities and mining operation in Argentina.

The Role
This position will Possess commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development, demonstrating commitment to achieving/maintaining 'Zero Harm'.
Implement and manage CHESS management standards and protocols, including critical risk and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Promote and instill among all personnel the need to act responsibly, by first reporting and then ceasing work if unsafe conditions result.
Contribute to identifying and eliminating CHESS hazards/risks to self, groups and the working environment.
Demonstrate concern for the health, safety and wellbeing of self and others.
Lead by example by upholding high standards, demonstrating consistent, successful work practice, instilling the desire for success among individuals and teams.
Successfully communicate across all levels of the company's organisational structure.

  • Ensure all hazards and incidents are accurately reported in a timely manner.

  • Maintain satisfactory housekeeping standards at all the sites, at all times.

  • Support, uphold and promote the company's decisions to external contractors.

  • Regularly liaise with project-level management to facilitate swift and effective implementation of the standards, policies and procedures, ensuring follow-up audits and recommendations are completed and actioned.

  • Assist with conducting project health and safety risk assessments, identifying hazard control measures.

  • Demonstrate commitment to achieving the company's business goals.

  • Assume accountability for the role, endeavoring to improve wherever possible.

  • Drilling contracts

  • Contractor safety

  • Production and project management monitoring

  • Reporting (weekly)

  • Program logistics support

  • Process improvement.

  • Adhere to the minimum regulatory requirements, policies, standards, procedures and work instructions at all times.

  • Promptly report unsafe (actual or potential) workplace conditions (activities, mishaps, incidents, accidents, injuries or illnesses).

  • Practice 'Visible Felt Leadership' (VFL) by taking corrective action to prevent injury or incident and to protect the environment

  • Report environmental incidents to relevant supervisory personnel following immediate corrective action.

The Requirements
As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant post-secondary school certificate, trade or diploma would be advantageous.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in the mineral drilling sector.

  • Experience working in remote locations and/or developing countries.

  • Contract drilling experience and/or drill contractor management experience.

  • Moderate skill/ability to utilise Microsoft Word and Excel for report writing and data monitoring.

  • A team player, with strong leadership skills and demonstrated commitment to drilling best practice, safety and the environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, possessing the ability to engage with all levels of the organisation, (in the spoken and written word).

  • Possesses good judgement and strong strategic and organisational ability.

  • Committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and health excellence.

  • Is able and willing and most importantly, sensitive to working with people from diverse cultures.
