Job Description:


We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mobile Plant Mechanical Supervisor to join HMS Company and take part in a challenging mining operation project for Endeavour Mining.

The Role
Based in a remote site in Ity, the Mobile Plant Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance work activities that have been assigned in accordance to the agreed plan while maintaining a safe, enjoyable, clean, disciplined and environmentally friendly work place. The prime objective is to ensure that the equipment's availability and production targets are achieved safely. Key Responsibilities:
Key Area: Ensure good quality mechanical inspections are carried out and all necessary actions are followed through to rectify any faults or defects identified during daily and periodic inspections.



  • Co-ordinate all scheduled, unscheduled maintenance activities.

  • Ensure only timely and high quality work is carried out to avoid extending downtime and rework.

  • Co-ordinate and manage manpower to achieve the best results for the maintenance department.



Key Area: Provide a safe, proactive and empowered work environment.



  • Ensure all work practices are carried out safety and ensure all incidents and work place risks are reported immediately.

  • Actively encourage and promote teamwork and encourage the acceptance of responsibility within your team.

  • Act honestly, ethically and with integrity at all times.



Key Area: Communication and record keeping.



  • Ensure clear and accurate communication within the maintenance department and when dealing the mining and construction operations departments.

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting as per company procedure. IE Shift break down reports, PM service sheets and Attendance sheets.


  • Lead by example approach to the health and safety. Crete an empowered and challenging team culture that delivers outstanding HSE standards and successful business performance.


  • Lead, demonstrate and educate the employees to embrace a work environment free from discrimination, where every employee is treated fairly and with respect.


  • Drive a cost and time conscious culture within the maintenance department.



The Requirements



  • 3 years open cut mining experience.

  • 5 years in the role of supervising the repair and maintenance of mining and or construction equipment is necessary.

  • Ability to speak and read ENGLISH and FRENCH.

  • Deep knowledge of the repair and maintenance of KOMATSU equipment.
