Job Description:

A challenging position as Human Resources Manager is available for an experienced FrenchEnglish bilingual professional. The person will provide guidance and feedback to management on best practices to be implemented to prevent fatalities and disabling injuries to employees, whilst achieving World Class Safety performance.


The Company


Globe 24-7 in partnership with our International Gold Mining client, is working together to source experienced and qualified talent for their existing gold mining operations in West Africa. Our client has selected Globe 24-7 as a recruitment partner to successfully source the position of Human Resources Manager to add value to the wider recruitment strategy with market knowledge, trends and a track record in conducting similar searches.


The role


Human Resources Manager will provide direction and leadership in all functional areas of Human Resources including staffing, training, and development, employee relations, labor relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, and performance management. The Human Resources Manager will also provide interpretive advice on company policies and government policies while monitoring and maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, department budgets, and company policies and procedures.


Responsibilities will include:



  • Responsible for working with managers and employees in coordinating employee and labor relations efforts

  • Works with the Manager of Labor Relations to administer and control grievance/employee complaint procedures in such a manner to insure compliance with the Labor Agreements.

  • Support, advise, and counsel on leadership development and strategic workforce planning initiatives

  • Consult with management on employee performance, employee conduct, and general employee and labor relations issues to ensure that the company's expectations are being met, while maintaining open communication between employees and management

  • Provide guidance relative to the progressive discipline process and escalate as appropriate up to and including the coordination of involuntary employee separation; ensure that a balanced but consistent approach is taken in the application of discipline.

  • Perform various projects and other Human Resources employee-related activities, as required

  • Maintain knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, laws and regulations, industry trends and developments to ensure accurate information is being communicated throughout the company

  • Act as a single point of contact to advise and counsel all levels of management on day-to-day Human Resources issues


The Requirements



  • Strong interpersonal skills in developing consensus building

  • Must have excellent computer skills with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook

  • Must be able to manage time effectively and set priorities

  • Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Site experience is a plus

  • 7-10 years of directly related human resources experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field

The position offers a competitive remuneration package and is available on a 7/3 rotational status.
