The Senior Security Project Manager will be responsible for all phases of delivery for large, often global initiatives. This includes the planning, management and delivery of the full portfolio of Information Security projects. The ideal candidate has an Information Security background, in areas such as security architecture, application security or network security; and has seasoned experience driving large scale security improvement programs.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the Senior Security Project Manager include: organizing and driving project team discussions; managing project activities and discussion action items, escalating to the appropriate stakeholders when required; coordinating with team members across all levels within applications, infrastructure, network and distributed technology teams; interacting with third parties such as consultants, software vendors and hardware vendors; presenting project progress to leadership; and mentoring team members and direct reports.
Candidate must be capable of developing detailed project schedules and managing multiple (five-plus (5+)) projects concurrently. Must be capable of, and willing to actively help coach team members, direct reports and end users; help isolate, assess and resolve problems; and keep projects moving forward. This position requires excellent communication skills with all levels in the organization.
  • Manage large MIS Security projects/programs including development of Proposal/Charter, creating and maintaining the work plan, managing the project team to complete their tasks, tracking and escalating issues, and creating and presenting weekly status reports
  • Provide a deep level of specific Information Security expertise to global MIS projects
  • Work closely with Security Operations team to standardize and improve processes
  • Understand the tactical and strategic plans of MIS Security in order to support and promote an MIS strategy that aligns with the business risk appetite, business process and operations
  • Work closely with the MIS Security Governance team and Security Architects to gather requirements, scope projects, and design solutions
  • Secure project resources, communicate and receive commitments from project sponsors, and initiate purchasing and procurement activities
  • Prioritize specific projects within the MIS Security portfolio to address issues resulting from audit activities, internal metrics, risk assessments, regulatory compliance, or business operational impacts
  • Understand all MIS related user satisfaction issues related to MIS Security, communicate these issues to MIS management, and lead resolution of these issues within MIS
  • Stay current on new project management methodologies, security technologies, and processes
  • Provide thought leadership in the MIS Security organization
  • Lead and motivate direct reports and others assigned to project teams
  • Effectively coach and mentor employees; proactively support employee involvement and development; counsel employees on performance standards; complete and administer accurate and timely performance reviews

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least eight (8) years of experience in the Information Services or Information Security field, which includes five (5) years of Project Management/Leadership experience
