Analyzes inventory requirements and supervises the flow of materials to internal and external customers.  Manages shipments to meet customer quality and volume requirements while optimizing internal logistics costs and inventory targets.  Responsible for managing the coordination between suppliers, customers, trading, sales, cathode production, rod operations and transportation. May directly supervises Sales Analyst(s).
  • Responsible for maintaining the physical sales book
  • Balances inventory quality and volume demands against customer requirements
  • Recommends production schedule changes to meet inventory targets
  • Manages the supply chain to optimize and reduce transportation costs
  • Manages annual contract sales with outside customers
  • Negotiates spot sales and purchases as required
  • Supervises the preparation of internal inventory/production databases and price sheets
  • Prepares daily/monthly/annual forecasts
  • Oversees invoicing

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree AND
  • Five (5) years of experience in Sales, Customer Service Office (preferably industrial or manufacturing) or similar work environment which requires high customer satisfaction
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability in handling customer demands and production issues
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem solving, accuracy and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle customer demands and production issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database programs and the Internet
  • Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machine and photocopier
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
