Under general supervision, provide technical expertise, guidance and leadership in the scheduling and prioritizing of contractor activities at assigned site. Oversee the contractor management system and serves as site expert user. 
  • Monitor activities to ensure that the contractor management process is performed in accordance with the EMS policies and procedures
  • Serve as key liaison between the contractor work requestor and the contractor performing work
  • Provide guidance and training for Maintenance Planners and other operations/maintenance staff, on site contractor management processes
  • Serve as technical expert on complex contractor management issues
  • Establish and monitor planned contractor schedules for plant/equipment within assigned area
  • Conduct and participate in daily, weekly and monthly planning meetings with key stakeholders
  • Review, prioritize and schedule work orders
  • Review departmental budgets and weekly forecasting
  • Request contracts utilizing the Global Sourcing contract tool, ensure contracts assigned to him/her are maintained and up-to-date and that the payment methods are in place to ensure prompt payment to vendors
  • Review and approve invoices for contractor work 
  • Develop tools and methods to assist the operating and support departments in communicating contractor needs for their areas and follow up on contractor work quality and completion
  • Develop and generate reports, analyze data for site management for the measurement of site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Serve as primary contact for vendor/contractor work order issues
  • Ensure compliance with contractor master agreements and contractor activities
  • Support and maintain the EMS contractor management minimums
  • Collaborate with Area Planners, Area Supervisors and Contractor Management Planners in the long range planning and scheduling for major production shutdowns that will require outside services support, including but is not limited to job identification, job priority, outside service requirements, material requirements, budget forecasts and contractor coordination
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years of experience in Maintenance, Mining/Manufacturing operations or a related field, OR
    • Bachelor's degree in applicable field and three (3) years of related experience in Maintenance, Mining/Manufacturing operations or a related field
