Under close supervision, performs a variety of duties in the provision of human resources programs and services for management, employees, volunteers, applicants and the general public.
  • Interprets, advises and answers routine questions regarding Freeport McMoRan Americas human resources policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the administration of and assists employees in completing insurance, unemployment, workers' compensation and other personnel forms
  • Maintains personnel records
  • Handles or refers personnel related inquiries and check references
  • Assists in compiling human resource related statistics for management
  • May handle paper flow for periodic reviews
  • Assists in maintaining employee files
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three (3) years of clerical experience in administrative, office support or human resource work
  • Solid computer skills in office word processing, email, spreadsheet and presentation applications
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
