Provide direction, supervision and advanced problem solving.  Review and improve the performance of existing automation systems.

  • Review and improve performance of discrete, continuous and advanced control, controller equipment and software, and the HMI
  • Identify opportunities and implement process optimization through automation
  • Regular review and improvement of alarm management systems (alarm rationalization)
  • Participate and represent process automation in HAZOP and other safety and reliability processes and studies
  • Identify and troubleshoot specialized, analytical and advanced sensors
  • Review and improve performance of PCS communication and the Plant Historian
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and (9) nine years of Engineering experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific discipline and (5) five years of Engineering experience, OR
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate Scientific discipline and three (3) years of Engineering experience
