We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to manage the contracts for the different Business Units within Endeavour Mining.

The Role

Based in Abidjan, the Contracts Administrator will be responsibilities to:

  • Drafting, Evaluation and Negotiation of Contracts

  • Serve as the point of contact for customers on contractual matters

  • Maintain contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, customer contact information sheets, contractual changes, status reports and other documents for all projects.

  • As needed, provide guidance on contract matters to project managers or other operational staff, including training in contracting practices and procedures.

  • Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration in compliance with company policy. As appropriate, contribute to or influence company policies.

  • Monitor compliance by company employees and contractors with established procedures.

  • Work with Risk Management Department / Finance to coordinate contractual insurance requirements.

  • Work with Finance to ensure adherence to broader finance and risk requirements such as revenue recognition, pricing and discounting policies

  • Monitor competitive terms and conditions and contracting practices. Recommend changes.

  • Ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness, interpretation to support implementation.

  • Ensure Contractual Compliance

  • Oversee Service Level Agreement Compliance

  • Ensure contract close-out, extension or renewal

  • Manage and ensure effective contract administration

  • Ensure Local Contractors are developed and manage pre-qualification process for bidders

  • Ensure all contractors have the necessary insurance and bonds in place prior to mobilisation to the Project work site.

  • Manage and report on the contractor's work and progress.

The Requirements

  • 15 years related experience in Construction or Project Management

  • Experience in Construction sector is a required

  • Experience in Contract Compliance is required

  • Experience with basic commercial law, financing and accounting

  • University Degree in Engineering, Project management or Law

  • Legal background will be advantageous

  • Excellent writing and communication skills in English are essential

  • Ability to speak and write in French is required
