Job Description:

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Manager with demonstrated capabilities to manage Site Human Resource functions.



The Company


Globe 24-7 in partnership with our International Gold Mining client is working together to source experienced and qualified talent for their existing gold mining operation in West Africa.


Our Client has selected Globe 24-7 as a recruitment partner to successfully source the position of Human Resource Manager and add value to the wider recruitment strategy with market knowledge, trends and a previous track record in conducting similar searches.



The Position


Based in West Africa the role will report to the Site General Manager. The Human Resources Manager will guide and manage Human Resources for the Site.



The Responsibilities



  • Human Resources Manager will provide direction and leadership in all functional areas of Human Resources

  • Set up of Labor Relations policies in accordance with and National Labor Agreements

  • Support, advise, and counsel on leadership development and strategic workforce planning initiatives

  • Develop, implement and manage a Performance Management system

  • Recruitment of new staff including both expatriate and local

  • Set up all site HR procedures

  • Set up site employee record management

  • Manage the catering and cleaning contracts

  • Manage contracts for employee transport

  • Work closely with site training manager to establish training across all departments

  • Lead discussions on remuneration and benefits with employees

  • Responsible for working with managers and employees in coordinating employee and labor relations efforts



The Requirements



  • Experience in setting up new site development would be well regarded

  • Relevant degree in Human Resource Management

  • 15 years minimum experience in Human Resources of which Excellent planning, organisation skill, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities and the self-discipline to achieve tasks on time with minimal or no supervision

  • Fluent in English and French is mandatory

  • Strong leadership capabilities

  • Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Site experience is a plus
