We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction / Building Project Manager to join a new business branch within a mining service company.

The Company

Our client has over 60 years of experience in the mining field based in West Africa, they have selected Globe 24-7 as a recruitment partner to successfully source the position and add value to the wider recruitment strategy with market knowledge, trends and a previous track record in conducting similar searches

The Role

Construction / Building Project Manager to manage the construction of offices and an apartment blocks as new business branch within the Company

The Responsibilities

  • Manage the construction of quality offices and an apartment blocks within budget and in a timely manner

  • Ensure the safe construction of offices and an apartment blocks

  • Establishe the construction schedule and monitor the construction cost

  • Oversee the work of the Project team and guide them where needed

  • Order materials and manage inventory; schedule inspections

  • Quality control

The Requirements

  • Degree and relevant background in civil, engineering or construction

  • Working experience in Africa

  • Experience in building office buildings and apartments

  • Experience in manageging construction & engineering teams

  • Mining experience is not required

  • Contract Management & and strong Budgeting skills

  • Readiness to work on 12/4 roster
