Job Description:

Ambatovy Joint Venture operation in Madagascar, is recruiting a well experienced Dispatch Coordinator to be responsible for implementing Wenco dispatch software, setup working procedures within the Mining Department, with effective training and development of Dispatch staff

The Role


Reporting to the Mining Operations Superintendent, the Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for dispatching heavy equipment on the mine and also for the training and development of dispatching Staff.
The successful candidate will be required to:



  • Setup software and dispatching procedures

  • Responsible for dispatching of all heavy equipment on the mine

  • Liaise with Network administrator for maintaining efficient communication network minimising the data loss

  • Organise reporting activities from dispatch

  • Responsible for Tonnage and Feed grades achievement

  • Validates, audit and controls dispatching procedures

  • Supervise, mentor and train Dispatch Supervisor and Dispatchers

  • Ensure working areas are maintained and of high standard for Health and Safety

  • Develop local employees to a competency level capable of replacing expatriate staff; apply safety and work procedures, policies and good practices


The Requirements



  • Extensive knowledge of Wenco Equipment Tracking System / Wenco Dispatch system is critical

  • Minimum 10 years post graduate industry experience preferably in open pit operations

  • Proficient in Microsoft office

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Analytically minded, with strong problem-solving skills

  • Able to work with minimal supervision and be willing to work outdoors

  • Willingness to assist with the training of less experienced members of the staff

  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral

  • Fluent in English, some French is a plus

  • Supervisory experience is an asset
