Responsible for managing North & South America’s refined copper Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and the related analysis to ensure inventory optimization in accordance with the overall Sales Company’s goals and objectives in a collaborative manner with the relevant operations, logistics and finance teams.
  • Lead the planning functions for the North & South American refined copper market segments for short term, mid-term and long term planning utilizing SAP as a tool while leveraging the global planning team
  • Develop and maintain data analysis of various sales and logistics planning and analytical models necessary to manage the refined cathode and rod sales efforts both domestically and internationally including, but not limited to available to sale model, netback analysis, safety stock calculations, distribution optimization models including truck vs. rail analyses, production and sales balances, commercial sales term analysis by customer / mine / country of sale, customer contract terms summaries required to administer contract and summaries of sales terms to be negotiated annually
  • Develop and maintain, as needed master data, reporting, key performance metrics and ad-hoc analyses as required
  • Lead the forecasting process with Sales / Marketing enabling effective planning with and/or without constraints
  • Analyze North American refined copper inventories, safety stocks, and seasonal variations to produce coverage profiles that are tailored to meet the business requirements
  • Create sales reports and data analytics to use in decision making; organize and communicate the analytics in a readily consumable form for leadership and users; may partner with MIS on special projects as needed
  • Perform other duties as requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of experience in broad-based Business Analysis and Management within a multi-disciplinary environment; in any combination of Finance, Global Supply, Information Services, Production Planning, or Commodity Sales
  • Skill in effective communication, both written and verbal
  • Skill in presenting complex, technical ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Present a positive and professional image
  • Must be self-motivated and client service oriented
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Ability to make good decisions and enforce company policies in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet aggressive deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships within a diverse population
  • Proficiency in using SAP, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
