A well-known International Company is currently searching for a Contracts Manager to manage the contracts and support the business by implementing a contract management framework within the operation.

The Company

Our client is an international, world class miner with large assets in Africa, Australia and Americas. Globe 24-7 has been selected to source the afore mentioned position because of our expertise and market knowledge.

The Position

this is an opportunity for a senior professional with advanced command of Spanish and English and more of 10 years of general professional experience in contracts administration, experience in mining or construction industries is a must. Will be responsible of develop, establish, implement and maintain contracting policy, procedures and systems, and monitor the adherence of these procedures within Project and its contractors.


  • Responsible for contracts management and administration. Will be in charge of large contracts implementation.

  • Ensuring suppliers provide goods/services in alignment with the contract.

  • Provide guidance to site operational teams on the application of the contracts under their control.

  • Reviewing and negotiating contract claims (e.g. delay claims, commercial disputes).

  • Assessing and reporting on supplier performance.

  • Identifying and eliminating/mitigating commercial risks.

  • Manage contractual documentation and correspondence.

  • Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions involving legal or regulatory requirements, contract standards and cost targets.

  • Develop and implement contract management tools/framework.

  • Optimize commercial and financial outcomes from existing contracts through provision of commercial analysis and expertise including contract interpretation advice and negotiation of contract amendments.

  • Lead the development and implementation of contract management procedures and processes to ensure effective transition from contract execution to completion. Ensuring all commercial obligations are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations while leveraging contractual rights as appropriate.

  • Identify necessary inputs from financial, technical, commercial and legal perspective needed to take the contract from draft to execution.

  • Assisting in the development of a set of standard contractual tools and templates (to address the routine tasks mentioned above) and then applying those tools and templates as appropriate during the contract & tender review process.


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline such as law/business administration/finance/engineering (or similar/equivalent). Postgraduate in supply chain areas.

  • Bilingual (Spanish - English).

  • Must have a strong background in Contract Management and Contract Administration, between 3 - 5 years of experience in leadership roles within the area, specific experience in the mining, infrastructure or construction industries.

  • Specific experience leading and managing expansion, construction, operation or EPMC contracts.

  • Global and structural vision of contracts management process, from tendering to administration.

  • Must be organized, analytical, have a good commercial awareness.

  • Must be an excellent communicator both written and verbally - report writing skills must be at a very high level.

  • Ability to drive operational/performance outcomes through others to consistently meet deadlines.

  • Strong numeracy, financial, budgeting and cost control skills.

  • Able to demonstrate good negotiation skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
