Under close supervision, performs a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at Morenci mine.
  • Greets and logs in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate.  Notify appropriate personnel or department of arrival.  Directs visitors and vendors to destination.  Enforces company policies and procedures
  • Performs frequent patrols of the property.  Walk, bicycle, or drive vehicle on irregularly scheduled rounds of property.  Observe conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities.  Picks up litter or debris as needed, or arranges clean-up with maintenance crews.  Report damages when encountered
  • Responsible for access control at gate locations of both pedestrian and vehicle traffic
  • Receive shipments and process appropriate paperwork associated with commodities and product
  • Conduct surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted
  • Assist with and trained for emergency situations.  Collaborates with police officers in the prevention of crime, work with fire response units for fire suppression, and with medical emergency response units in the event of emergency situations, at the assigned location
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location
  • Skill in responding appropriately to emergency and conflict situations
  • Skill in effective communication both verbal and written
  • Basic understanding of computer use
