Under limited supervision, supervise and perform a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location.
  • Assign, supervise and review the work of staff for assigned work unit
  • Conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff
  • Implement production plans according to approved schedule
  • May participate in the full range of daily operational duties, performing the most difficult
  • Inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify any problem areas and may direct remedial action
  • Prepare estimates of the staffing, materials and equipment requirements for projected work activities
  • Maintain an inventory of parts and materials
  • Approve purchases of materials and equipment
  • Maintain time, materials and equipment use reports
  • Requisition tools, supplies, materials and equipment as needed
  • Train staff in safety procedures
  • Maintain safety data sheets for crews
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and five (5) years of related operational experience, including supervisory or lead experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one (1) summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in a mining or industrial environment
  • Knowledge of local police and ambulance dispatch procedures, and local public safety agency rules, regulations and methods of operation
  • Knowledge of first aid, CPR and other basic emergency medical techniques
  • Knowledge of site topography and the locations of emergency equipment and access points
