Job Description:

Ambatovy Joint Venture operation in Madagascar, is recruiting a well experienced Category Supervisorto lead and actively manage selected strategic sourcing events related to a specific category of spend.

The Role


The Category Supervisorwill ensure these events are managed at the highest level ensuring the lowest total cost, while at the same time, delivering mutual benefit through sourcing innovation and efficiency


Responsibilities



  • Be aware, understand, communicate and comply with the Ambatovy Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) Policies and associated documentation.

  • Upskill, mentor and develop National Category Analysts in Category Management methodology.

  • Deliver a 12-month Category Plan outlining the critical strategic sourcing exercises and supplier relationship management activities for the calendar year.

  • Liaising with key stakeholders and preparing and maintaining the annual category sourcing plan and supplier contracts.

  • Delivering commercial and contractual advice to internal customers and stakeholders.

  • Drive and participate in the strategic sourcing process, in partnership with the Category Superintendents and Category Analysts.

  • Ensuring contract governance, compliance and value add requirements are met.

  • Monitor KPIs, SLA (Service Level Agreements), supplier performance management and communicate results and actions.


The Requirements



  • University degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or Legal. Equivalent Professional experience also acceptable.

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years' experiences in procurement, contracts management or other commercial environment in a similar capacity.

  • Strategic sourcing process capability including go to market strategies and building go-to-market documents including analytical frameworks for assessments

  • Proven experience developing a national workforce.

  • Language skills: French and English is essential.
