Job Description:

(This position will be located near Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of Congo)

 

Supervise a team of Buyers responsible for sourcing and procuring all goods required to support maintenance and operations. Measures and manages performance to ensure the effectiveness of the team, and resolves issues as needed.


Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise staff to meet procurement and sourcing performance objectives and deadlines on a daily basis. Implement GSC initiatives and objectives with team, track performance against those objectives and regularly provide feedback to employees, both verbally and in writing, in an effort to meet those objectives.

  2. Utilize procurement and sourcing tools and techniques with team to ensure customer needs are met at the lowest total cost.

  3. Research and recommend procurement and sourcing techniques, best practices and strategies.

  4. Participate in the development, communication, and training of corporate procurement and sourcing processes and strategies.

  5. Collaborate in or supervises the implementation of new or enhanced procurement and sourcing processes at assigned site.

  6. Develop external sources of supplier, commodity, and market information which provide profile, financial, and industry information on selected suppliers and industries.

  7. Identify external price and market indices used to measure and track internal procurement performance, supplier performance, and market trends.

  8. Assist site management with special analyses of inventory control, turnover, cost of goods sold, back order rates, etc.

  9. Manage the logistics team for the transportation of personnel and goods to and from the Kisanfu site as well as in the region.

  10. Effectively coach and mentor department employees; proactively support employee involvement and development; Counsel employees on performance standards; Complete and administer accurate and timely performance reviews.

  12. Manage camp personnel and facilities.
  13. Perform other duties as required.
