Under general supervision, supervises, coordinates and controls the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit through subordinate supervisors. 
  • Ensures continued operations of production shifts through execution of the production plan and schedules
  • Provides operations input for production and maintenance planning
  • Ensures adherence to correct safety and operating procedures and compliance with appropriated federal and state laws and regulations
  • Inspects assigned work units to ensure schedules and objectives are attained
  • Coordinates daily with other operational and staff areas including, but not limited to: maintenance, processing, engineering, safety, environmental, and sales
  • Directly supervises first-line or shift supervisors
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related area and seven (7) years of related Accounting experience, including supervisory or lead experience; OR
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related area and five (5) years of related Accounting experience, including supervisory or lead experience
  • Knowledge of supervisory methods and techniques
  • Skilled in resolving day-to-day questions/problems regarding equipment, materials, methods and procedures needed to complete projects
  • Skilled in budget preparation, monitoring and administration
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
