This position is located at the Henderson Mill site off of CO-9 between Kremmling, CO and Silverthorne, CO. This is a rural, alpine area approximately 2 hours from the Denver metropolitan area. The mill is at an altitude of approximately 10,000 feet. In the winter the average high temperature is 28 degrees and the average low is 0 degrees. In the summer the average high temperature is 75 degrees and the average low is 40 degrees. The average snowfall in Summit/Grand counties is in excess of 250 inches per year.
 
Place purchase orders with approved vendors for materials, machinery, equipment, tools, parts and other routine supplies or services at assigned site.
  • Receive and review a wide variety of requisitions; may support one or more specialized areas requiring an increased depth of knowledge
  • Interview vendors to obtain information concerning product/service, price, availability and delivery date
  • Estimate value according to knowledge of market price
  • Review bid proposals from vendors and recommend or enter into contracts within limits of delegated authority
  • Maintain records of purchased items, cost, delivery, performance and inventory and approve bills for payments within limits of delegated authority
  • Discuss defects with quality control/inspection personnel to determine source of defect and initiate corrective action
  • Perform other duties as required
