Under direct supervision, assists in workload activities with Planners of the assigned department by helping with planning, scheduling and prioritizing activities in collaboration through office and field meetings.

  • Support the area Planners in all facets of job preparation, execution and follow up as prescribed by the Freeport-McMoRan standards, including time spent “in the field” to ensure readiness and availability of materials and equipment resources
  • Maintain a history for all assigned activities in the management system
  • Under the guidance of the Equipment Management System (EMS) closely interacts with the Planners in the assigned area to maintain and monitor planned schedules for assigned activities
  • Attend daily, weekly and monthly planning meetings with key stakeholders
  • Review, prioritize and schedule work orders
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of data in the maintenance management system (SAP)
  • Assist Planners in the planning and organization for planned major production shutdowns
  • Assist Planners with generating regular and ad hoc reports
  • Engage with onsite Global Sourcing to control, warehouse minimum/maximum levels and appropriate storage conditions of materials and parts
  • Upkeep, monitor and adjust schedules for assigned activities; maintain these schedules in the management system
  • Organize data to support maintenance management decisions, including departmental budgets and weekly forecasting
  • Perform other duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience in supporting field maintenance or operations department within a mining/manufacturing environment
