Under supervisory direction, responsible for the planning, organization and supervision of the recreation facilities and staff, and community events.

  • Direct and supervise the recreation facilities staff
  • Coordinate, manage, track and evaluate recreational programs for cost effectiveness and ensure they meet the needs of the community
  • Perform public relations duties and ensure exceptional customer service throughout the facility
  • Oversee division promotional and marketing strategies to promote recreational participation
  • Maintain confidential information and records for members, participants and staff
  • Coordinate facility maintenance schedule
  • Conform to established program budget(s), monitor expenditures, and provide assistance for budget development and cost control activities
  • Perform other duties as required


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience in a Recreational position or related, including lead or Supervisory experience; OR  
  • High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of experience in a Recreational  position or related, including lead or Supervisory experience  
  • Must be able to obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within three months of hire date.
