Skilled employee who under supervision safely performs duties related to the safe operation of a site-operated power plant.
  • May be responsible for maintaining the gas turbines and boilers to maintain the necessary steam to power the various site facilities
  • Complete shift inspections of the following: gas turbines, boilers, rectifiers, air compressors, deep wells, reverse osmosis units, and electrical generators
  • Perform boiler feed water chemistry analysis and takes action as results dictate
  • Frequently communicates and interacts with various members of the operations and maintenance departments
  • Monitor all equipment operating parameters during shift
  • Respond to all equipment alarm or shutdown conditions and take appropriate action
  • Perform water chemistry analysis on plant feed water and take appropriate action
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis of power plant equipment and other maintenance duties as needed
  • May operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and light-duty vehicles
  • May be responsible for maintaining records associated with air, water, and waste regulations
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Six (6) months of experience working with Power Plant operating plant equipment
