Review and execute master data maintenance requests received from users. Responsible for centralized maintenance of data Specific master data elements include Material Master records, initial purchasing info records and other key SAP data.  This position will update these elements to maintain a high level of integrity and alignment to business processes.
  • Develop and implement data standards as needed and ensure data integrity
  • Process approved requests for master data set up and changes within SAP
  • Receive Master Data Maintenance Request from SAP users, review to ensure data does not already exists and conforms to data taxonomy standards, route to appropriate business owners for approvals and awareness, update the data elements within SAP and notify users of changes to master data upon completion
  • Work closely across teams within the SAP Support Organization and with the user community to ensure full understanding of the global template design and implications related to master data
  • Monitor master data processes; with a goal of continued improvement
  • Document and update process flows and training materials as needed
  • Develop and maintain metric reports on MDMA activity
  • Perform additional duties associated to material master data such as periodic archiving of items, auditing to ensure accuracy of key codes, creation of new material class and characteristics and processing item merges in SAP
  • Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of practical work experience in Operations, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain or a related field; OR
  • High School diploma or GED and ten (10) years of related experience
