Provide technical expertise and assistance to PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) Environmental Staff and contractors in support of projects and programs to drive continuous improvement to PTFI Management.
  • Facilitate collaboration and engagement of site personnel, contractors, local government officials and communities for successful cooperative projects
  • Coordinate with sites to measure and monitor environmental sustainability initiatives and programs, including the coastal programs related to sediment and water quality, and biodiversity
  • Monitor regulatory compliance related to coastal standards
  • Assist with developing and monitoring strategic plans and programs related to the tailing research and demonstration center
  • Advise and respond to management, including senior leaders, regarding sustainability issues and potential opportunities both at the site level and for the enterprise.
  • Lead the development and implementation of standardized biodiversity monitoring methods
  • Complement/supplement as well as increase capabilities, experience and perspectives of Indonesian Environmental Staff
  • Mentor and train site staff as required
  • Perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Science or Engineering discipline and five (5) years related experience in engineering or related field, OR
  • Master’s degree in an appropriate Science or Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in engineering or related field
