Under direct supervision, this role performs duties related to the production process of a continuous cast operation.
  • Assist in a production process such as casting, milling, coiling, shipping, furnace and refractory
  • Operate mobile equipment
  • Operate heavy industrial equipment/processes
  • Operate hand/power tools
  • Complete the appropriate skill level criteria of the progression program
  • Perform labor type work and keep facilities clean and free from job related safety hazards.
  • Performs other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be qualified in two major positions as defined in the Progression program
  • Must meet prior level progression criteria and/or two (2) years of related experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company
  • Ability to interact effective with others
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces
  • Ability and willingness to learn and apply new or changing job-related tasks as required
