Under close supervision, assist the line crew with the construction, operation, and maintenance of FMBI power distribution system. Must be willing to contribute to continual improvement through participation in a teamwork oriented environment.

  • Assist in the safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs with a lineman
  • Assist in performing construction and maintenance of high or low voltage electric power lines and structures with a lineman
  • Assist in troubleshooting systems faults on power distribution lines with a lineman
  • Perform other duties as assigned with a lineman

Minimum Qualifications

  • One (1) year of experience with electrical work OR
  • A technical certification or equivalent in an electrical related field
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Effective written, verbal, and communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company 
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the job at the time of the job offer with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Skilled at climbing wood poles and steel towers or structures up to 90 ft.
