Excellent opportunity for a Human Resources professional to join an international mining company with a gold mine in Guatemala.


THE COMPANY

THE POSITION


The HR (Human Resources) Advisor will ensure a fair and consistent approach to the organization's policies and procedures, thus promoting a positive culture within the business, whilst minimizing risks, to provide HR support to employees.


RESPONSIBILITIES



  • To advise, guide and support employees and managers with all matters relating to employee relations, as well as HR systems, processes, policies, and programs

  • Effective case management of employee related issues such as: disciplinaries, performance management, grievances, and absence management

  • Developing effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organization

  • Monitoring new trends in employment practices and advising on appropriate proactive action

  • Providing advice and guidance on disciplinary and welfare cases, capabilities, grievances, and coaching managers where appropriate

  • Administrative tasks and recording as required

  • This professional will advise BSR in aspects of employment law, help HR personnel and employees interpret HR policies and ensure adherence to company values and objectives.

  • The ideal candidate will be very people-orientated, with the ability to develop strong and meaningful relations possess excellent time-management skills and ability to plan short to long term goals and work well under tight deadlines. They will be the SME in Employment Law and be responsible for managing expectations regarding employee relations.


REQUIREMENTS



  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and/or equivalent experience working in HR supporting employees

  • 3-5 years of relevant HR experience coupled with a minimum 2 years Employee Relations experience

  • Fluent Spanish and Advanced English

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge of employment laws, as well as HR policies, procedures and processes

  • Competent in IT skills

  • Strong skills in prioritization, planning, multi-tasking, and time management

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, verbally and in writing

  • Capacity to build trust

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • People orientated
