Job Description:


A great opportunity for an experienced professional to coordinate the Human Resources department, build relations with the employees and ensure effective communication within the organization.


The company


A local company, Camex Desarrollos Mineros, is a small and ambitious owner of 2 mining projects and a processing plant in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The company is looking for support in building and managing the HR area.


The position


HR Generalist will be responsible for coordinating the Human Resources area, supervising HR-related activities and ensuring all employee queries are solved in a professional and timely manner.


Key accountabilities



  • To coordinate, guide and support employees with all matters relating to employee relations, as well as HR processes and policies.

  • To plan, execute and control organization's HR strategy, work schedule, budgets, salaries, etc.

  • Effective case management of employee-related issues such as disciplinaries, welfare, performance management, grievances, and absence management.

  • To develop effective relationships, promote good employee relations across the organization and prevent issues.

  • To advise in aspects of employment law, help employees interpret HR policies and ensure adherence to company values and objectives.

  • Recruitment, selection, performance evaluation and development of the personnel.

  • Administrative tasks, logistics and document management.


Requirements


The ideal candidate will be very people-oriented, with the ability to develop strong and meaningful relations, possess excellent time-management skills and ability to plan short to long term goals and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment. He/She will be the Subject Matter Experts in Employment Law and will be responsible for managing expectations regarding employee relations.



  • 5 years of relevant HR and Employee Relations experience

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively apply knowledge of employment laws, as well as HR policies and procedures

  • Strong skills in prioritization, planning, multi-tasking, and time management

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels

  • Capacity to build trust and positive relationships

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Competent in computer skills

  • Well-organized, cooperative, self-motivated, working well with no supervision

  • English language on a communicative level

  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and/or equivalent experience working in HR supporting employees

  • Ability to travel for a couple of days at a time within the Chihuahua state.
