A great opportunity for an experienced Organizational Development professional to join a dynamic global mining company, promote the high-performance culture and participate in its growth.


Globe 24-7, in partnership with Newcrest Mining Limited is working together to source experienced and qualified talent for their Red Chris Joint Venture located 80 km south of Dease Lake, BC in Tahltan traditional territory.

The Company:

Newcrest Mining Limited, a global mining company and Australia's largest gold producer owns and operates a portfolio of predominantly low cost, long life mines and a strong pipeline of brownfields and greenfields exploration projects. The company has recently expanded its footprint into British Columbia as the operator of a Joint Venture company, Newcrest Red Chris Mining Limited.

The Role:

The Organizational Development and Culture Specialist is instrumental in the creation of the future success and shape of Red Chris mine site. This role will diagnose, design and deliver organisational development initiatives that establish the high performing, disciplined and people-focussed culture.

The Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will cooperate closely with organization's leaders, managers and teams, to ensure site development initiatives and culture are translated into Red Chris' business goals.

  • Support the development of our people capability and talent management

  • Planning of required Leadership Development Programs

  • Deliver cultural transformation projects and change management initiatives

  • Design and deliver end-to-end OD initiatives and programs of work

  • Deliver customised programs to leaders, managers, teams, and coaches

  • Provide expert insight and innovative thinking in to the development, design and implementation of strategically aligned interventions to enhance and improve organisational health and culture on site

  • Champion and drive the pursuit of creating the desired high-performance culture that aligns with Newcrest's key business drivers and organisational health priorities

  • Coach, mentor and support HR team members and broader stakeholders in being a change leader through a large-scale cultural transformation and beyond

The Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience, heavy-industry knowledge is a plus

  • A degree in Organisational Development/Psychology/Human resources or related field

  • Camp Environment experience desirable

  • A solid knowledge of designing and implementing talent development initiatives, levels of work and organization's org charts

  • Experience in coaching/mentoring

  • Ability to establish and build collaborative relationships with VP & Leadership Teams

  • Proven ability to lead projects

  • Ability to influence people for change

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and consultative skills with the ability to interact and adjust to the audience/ stakeholders.

  • Comfortable working in remote environments with occasional international travel

  • Working rights in Canada required.
