We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who will be responsible for preparing and managing financial and profitability reporting and acts as a lead in the preparation of department and division annual budgets as well as the annual audited financial statements. Also, with strong knowledge in project evaluation and financial modeling. This is a local search in Peru.

The Role


Reporting to the Country Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst Will Gather statistics and general data and organize it into a useful form; conduct analysis of company operations in order to develop improvements and make recommendations for strategies to heighten efficiency and success.


Key Responsibilities



  • Maintain financial analysis tools to support project budget management throughout the life-cycle of the projects.

  • Review and analyze project cost-to-complete data; provide feedback to Project Manager to improve forecasting accuracy.

  • Ensure Earned Value Analysis (EVA) accuracy and assist the Project Manager with managing the financial aspects of the project including but not limited to: identifying out-of-scope (OOS) activities, identifying resourcing issues and identifying the root cause of budget variances.

  • Support Client Management in change order process including submitting and negotiating the changes with the client and/or vendor.

  • Attend and participate in project review meetings with support from management.

  • Manage the financial aspects of project vendors in association with project teams and Finance

  • Track costs across time and projects to help ensure budget adherence by vendors.

  • Maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders: external consultants, engineers, PR or communications, vendors, suppliers.

  • Provide updated information regarding the project advances to the Technical Lead.

  • Anticipate issues and potential issues that could affect project costs, timing or quality.

  • Elevate situations that require decisions from the board of directors.


Technical Skills & Experience


As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following qualifications, experience and skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in relevant areas.

  • Bilingual (Spanish - English).

  • At least 7 years of detailed modeling experience of power projects including all aspects of the financial model.

  • Strong knowledge regarding power generation (thermal and/or hydro).

  • Experience performing financial analysis of big projects with large budgets.

  • High standard of interpersonal skills to engage, influence and build solid working relationships both internally and externally.

  • Communicate effectively and relay information in a timely manner.

  • Availability to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Excellent organizational, time management and delegation skills.
