The Company

Globe 24-7 is a HR & Recruitment consulting firm dedicated to the extractive and energy industries with over 15 years experience sourcing qualified talent for well-known companies across the globe. We have been engaged by a well-known Gold mining company in Australia to source an experienced HR Manager to support their operation.

The Role
Reporting to the Corporate Manager, the HR Manager will be responsible for supporting the company's Human Resources function including employee relations, talent management, performance and employee engagement by providing a critical link between office and site on all HR matters including:

  • Employee relations by providing advice and support to all people leaders and employees

  • Assessing critical talent segments required now, and in the future to build pipelines to secure new talent

  • Managing the full cycle recruitment process from assessing organizational needs, sourcing, selecting, and onboarding new talent

  • Supporting talent management processes including talent assessments, workforce planning, succession planning and individual talent development through facilitation of each process and coaching and consulting with business leaders

  • Supporting the annual performance management, merit increase and bonus cycle by consulting with leaders and employees, monitoring progress of major milestones and finalizing information for approvals and dissemination to employees

  • Management of the Human Resources Information System ensuring accuracy and providing reporting, analysis and trends as appropriate to leadership

  • Support adhoc HR projects as required

The Requirements

This role requires the following skills, experience and education:

  • Previous experience working in Human Resources Generalist or Business Partner roles in Mining, Heavy Industrial, Energy or Manufacturing companies in Australia.

  • Qualification (tertiary or certificate) in Human Resources or Management

  • Proven track record in implementing HR policies, procedures, structures and programs that add value to an organisation

  • Strong knowledge of local & national legislation, awards and industrial relations instruments.

  • Strong HR management & problem solving skills coupled a strength of character and deep knowledge of employee relations matters and resolutions

  • Demonstrated 'roll up your sleeves' approach working closely with management to develop a positive culture within the organisation.

  • Ability to work autonomously in the absence of the Head of HR from time to time
