A great opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic global mining company and participate in its growth.


THE COMPANY


Globe 24-7, in partnership with their clients is working together to source experienced and qualified finance professional to work out of their Vancouver head offices to support their mining operation in Northern British Columbia.


THE ROLE


The incumbent will work from the Vancouver head office with occasional travel to mine site, manage a team of five and will be responsible for executing delivery and implementation of client's version of SAP. They will be a strategic thinker who thrives on change, be involved in all aspect of strategic finance thinking and develop into a part of the leadership team.


THE RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Month end Ownership - Deliverables internally

  • Financial Year end external audits

  • Quarterly Reporting internally and externally

  • Internal Audit visits and requirements

  • Capital reporting, and oversea of the Capital analyst.

  • Corporate submissions and governance activities.

  • Corporate capital submissions (Monthly)

  • Capital Meetings (Agenda, minutes, co-ordination)

  • Annual performance reviews, KPI settings and monthly check ins

  • Review of all data/recognitions prior to internal distribution, or lodgement to external parties

  • Provide guidance and execution assistance with business improvement activities.

  • Promoting a site wide, team-based culture between finance department and key stakeholders

  • Identifying and actively develop/coach key personnel for career development; develop a succession plan

  • Effective communication to ensure all personnel understand relevant operational strategies and goals; translate the vision into day to day activities

  • Leadership style to facilitate high performing team characteristics (build trust, healthy conflict, commitment, accountability, team results)

  • Communicate and support the team to understand how they add value to the business

  • Openly support Company policy regardless of personal views

  • Demonstrate absolute commitment and leadership in providing a safe working environment


THE REQUIREMENTS



  • 10+ years of relevant experience in mining, construction or heavy industry

  • CPA or CA Designation required

  • Change management experience preferred
