Training Advisor


A great opportunity for an experienced, results-focused professional to deliver training sessions for Cerro Blanco's employees and contractors.


The Company


Entre Mares de Guatemala is a natural resource company focused on advancing the permitted, high-grade Cerro Blanco gold project located in the southwestern part of Guatemala. The Role


This role will primarily focus on training the employees and contractors, in different circumstances, such as classroom training, on the job training, tours, interactive training programs, among others. Also is responsible for the research, design, coordination, implementation and teaching of new and/or revised programs, approval documentation, and taking in consideration the MSHA guidelines and regulations.


Key areas of responsibility:



  • Assist and support with training, onboarding, coaching, and mentoring of employees and/or contractors.

  • Ensure consistent and effective training to all EMG personnel and Contractors

  • Ensure all employees and contractors are compliant with all relevant policies, procedure, regulations, and documentation.

  • Provide expertise and guidance to comply the training programs that should be in continuous improvement through periodical campaigns.

  • Ensure adherence and awareness to Company Policies and Values.

  • Responsible for training documentation and logistic support

  • Assist and support with the diagnosis of training needs.

  • Develop new and update existing training materials

  • Deliver accredited and in-house training programmes.

  • Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, peers, apprentices, community members to determine effectively types of training required.


Our Requirements:


Formal Education, Certifications or Equivalents



  • Recognized accreditations and / or college degree in Psychology, Pedagogy, Industrial Engineer, Business Administration, or related field


Working Experience - Nature & Length



  • Minimum 3 years in similar position, preferably in mining, oil industry or agroindustry


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Bilingual in English/ Spanish

  • Public speaking ability

  • High initiative and excellent communication (verbal and written)

  • Result driven

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Teamwork

  • This is a permanent full-time opportunity to commence immediately. The Training Advisor will be based out of Asuncion Mita but may be required to spend some time in Guatemala City. We therefore require a candidate who can work flexible rosters, sometimes with short notice, to align with business needs.
