Financial Controller


We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial controller to join a mine in Côte d'Ivoire.


The Company
Our client is a well-known International global drilling services company providing innovative solutions for mining, energy, water, and infrastructure projects across 22 countries and five continents


The Role
We are looking for a Financial controller who will report to to the VP Africa, this new position will require frequent travel to West African countries that we are currently established and operate in. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the company's performance by assuring the careful management of all financial and control related activities for the region. This also includes direct responsibility for the supervision and management of all aspects of corporate accounting and internal financial reporting for the region.
have high-level accounting experience, proficient in Excel, and Good knowledge with SAGE accounting and inventory.


Responsibilities



  • Analysis, measurement, and interpretation of all financial data

  • Use financial, budget and accounting expertise to evaluate project costs and ensures that they remain within budgeted limits

  • Provide sound advice and recommendations for business decision making (Forecast, budget, capex, etc...)

  • Assist the VP Africa in preparing monthly reporting & analysis

  • Ensure compliance with internal control process in accordance with the Company policies and procedures

  • Control the correct application of the delegation of authorities' matrix

  • Preparation of quarterly reporting package in IFRS for consolidation purpose

  • Management of the financial team of about 10 people

  • Relationships with banks and auditors


The Requirement



  • The ideal candidate holds a diploma/degree in Accounting or Business School, with previous experience in accounting audit firms and/or similar experience in project-oriented company.

  • The position requires solid knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS), taxation rules and regulations.

  • The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and manage at many levels of an organization, the capability to analyse and prioritize his/her work efficiently.

  • He also must be able to make sound and independent decisions, meet deadlines and demonstrates a high level of integrity with accounting systems.

  • Proficient in Excel, and Good knowledge with SAGE accounting and inventory.

  • Fluency in French is mandatory, English, Spanish or Portuguese is an asset.
