Mechanical Engineer - Advanced Systems

My client, who are a high-tech energy company developing next-generation accelerator systems, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of critical components for high-reliability ion source and beamline systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize mechanical components (housing, cooling, supports).
• Conduct thermal and structural analysis for system reliability.
• Support fabrication, assembly, and testing processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and manufacturing standards.
• Provide hands-on support during installation and commissioning.
• Document designs and prepare technical reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for high-reliability systems.
• Skilled in CAD and simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS).
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Team player with cross-disciplinary collaboration experience.

Preferred Experience:

• Background in accelerator systems or ion source components.
• Thermal optimization and EMC standards familiarity (e.g., IEC 61000).
• Knowledge of ASME/ISO technical drawing standards.
