Mechanical Engineer

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Camden, North Carolina.

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our client's engineering team. This individual will play a key role in the design, development, and improvement of specialized mechanical systems and components. The position requires hands-on CAD experience, strong design fundamentals, and the ability to manage projects from concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed mechanical designs and technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions that meet client-specific requirements
• Contribute to R&D efforts and assist in testing and validating new designs
• Ensure engineering documentation is accurate and up to date
• Support manufacturing and assembly teams with technical guidance
• Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and performance throughout the design process

Qualifications:

• ASME coding experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Ideally 2+ years of experience in the machinery manufacturing industry
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
• Effective problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Project management experience is a plus
• Prior experience with process equipment or machinery design is beneficial
