Mechanical Engineer

The Opportunity:

This isn't a "behind-the-desk" design role. You'll collaborate with project managers, sales, quality teams, procurement, and production to bring designs to life-ensuring they're not just innovative but also practical, manufacturable, and aligned with real-world customer needs.

What You'll Do:

• Lead mechanical design efforts from concept to completion
• Partner with internal teams and clients to define project goals
• Design and refine components using SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, and Vault
• Guide and mentor junior engineers and CAD designers
• Ensure designs meet UL compliance standards and customer specifications
• Deliver detailed documentation, BOMs, and design packages
• Troubleshoot issues during production and drive continuous improvement
• Maintain design control and manage changes effectively
• Occasionally travel to support project implementation or client visits

What You Bring:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical system design
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, and MS Office Suite
• Working knowledge of UL codes (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 1008, etc.) is a plus
• Strong understanding of electrical enclosures and power distribution equipment
• A collaborative, problem-solving mindset with excellent communication skills
