Position Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in hydropower systems or Industrialngineering to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for hydropower projects, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing electrical systems for hydropower projects, including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Conducting feasibility studies and site assessments to determine project viability and electrical requirements.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with civil engineering designs.
  • Performing risk assessments and troubleshooting electrical issues during project implementation.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Providing technical expertise and support to project managers and clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on hydropower systems.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software and simulation tools.
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and permitting processes for hydropower projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Professional engineering designation (P.Eng) in British Columbia is preferred.
