Develop infrastructure that supports the builds, maintenance and quality of the delivery containers; Participate in the development of 2D drawings and 3D models in SolidWorks of complex delivery systems, subassemblies, support equipment and precursor containers; Work cross-functionally with a diverse engineering team, chemists, and product marketing managers; Communicate with suppliers, contract manufacturers and members of the supply chain; Complete drawings for components, subassemblies and 3D models for quoting, purchase orders and then perform hands on building of prototypes to evaluate fit, form and functional performance of those assemblies; Coordinate project timelines with Lead Mechanical Engineer & New Product Development (NPD) team management; Hands-on component assemblies for subassemblies and support equipment; Manage change through cross-functional partnering in a global environment; Develop factory infrastructure to support container builds, cleans, capacity and quality improvements; Support the alternative site factory build out; Confirmation of component fitment, tolerance stack up, functionality and ease of assembly and use; Create required documentation for new and modified containers and sub-components including drawings, bills of material, and part numbers; Quote components and order parts directly with machine shops and outside vendors; Support 2D drawings of components, subassemblies and BOM's that are up to ASME Y14.5M-2009 standards; Work with the engineering team to create new part numbers, ECRs and other support documentation; and Work safely and drive process improvements. Up to 20% travel, both domestically and internationally. Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical field plus 3 years of experience as a mechanical engineer or related engineering position in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry. Must have 3 years of experience with: working directly with machine shops to understand capabilities; GD&T and the impact on product cost and reproducibility; Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFM/A); air sensitive compounds; value engineering (cost and product improvements); and Solid Modeling. Must have 1 year of experience with: materials of construction and interaction with corrosive chemicals; vapor pressure, material stability, material compatibility and thermodynamics; computational fluid dynamics analysis and related software; and chemically inert coatings and method of application onto metallic surfaces.
