Job Description:

Due to several new large government contracts our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing engineering team in Suffolk County
This company has been a leader in their industry, (power applications for the US Military) for almost fifty years! They offer excellent benefits as well as profit sharing!

Summary/Objective:
Plan and designs product applications and assemble project teams
Organize highly complex activities for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of engineering projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with management, electrical engineers, drafters, technicians and manufacturing personnel to develop new products.
Generate designs of systems, assemblies and components using 3D CAD.
Generate and maintain drawings working within configuration control system.
Develop sources for system components.
Perform structural and thermal analysis of designs.
Support and troubleshoot prototype build.
Transition new products from prototype to production.
Design fixtures and assembly aids for production.
Resolve technical issues that arise in the supply chain.
Knowledge of and ability to perform injection molding.
Support proposal efforts.

Experience Required:
years hands on experience developing products and working in a production environment
Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferred Master's in Mechanical Engineering
