Job Summary:

An opportunity exists in the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department, a part of Raytheon, for a Work Center Leader in the area of Visual Inspection. AMS develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, millimeter/microwave integrated circuits, and modules for defense and commercial applications.

The individual in this role will serve as the lead for the Die Visual work-center, which focuses primarily on inspection and pick-and-place operations in the back end of the line for semiconductor device manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up jobs on automated optical inspection tools as well as pick and place tools and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and correct tool errors in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will support the operational goals of the facility through forecasting of new product arrivals into the work-center and appropriately scheduling engineering efforts to rapidly develop and validate inspection programs and pick and place programs. The candidate will also lead capital initiatives with regards to the selection and qualification of new tools within the work center.

The candidate should have a general background in various aspects of semiconductor wafer fabrication. The role requires collaborative teamwork and continuous communication of the state of the work-center to management. Demonstrated project management skills is desired.

This position is 100% onsite and will be based in Andover, MA.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Leading a small team to achieve foundry metrics in the Die Visual work-center.

  • Developing inspection recipes to support automated inspection of new products.

  • Support Pick-and-Place operation as well as peripheral operations to ship final products.

  • Lead capital procurement and qualification efforts as they arise.

  • Act independently to uncover and resolve issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of prior work experience OR a STEM Master's and 5+ years of prior work experience.

  • Experience related to semiconductor process engineering for automated inspection and pick and place operations.

  • Experience programming and troubleshooting production process equipment.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).

  • Experience with automated optical inspection recipe creation and management.

  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and WIP management techniques

  • Provide operator training and conduct certification evaluation process.

  • Create, document, and maintain work instructions.

Clearance Information:

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
