Job Description:

GEE Group is collaborating with a leading manufacturing plant in their search for a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of clients' UPS systems on both process and component levels, utilizing tools such as MATLAB and Simulink. Additionally, this role involves hands-on troubleshooting of live, high-power electrical control systems on site for clients, collaborating with suppliers to remediate parts failures, and improving testing requirements for UPS system components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of clients' UPS systems to ascertain site failures and power delivery irregularities.
  • Utilize MATLAB and Simulink to perform RCA analysis, collaborating with other engineers as necessary.
  • Create reports based on 8D/5S methodology to determine remediations on process and component levels of electrical power delivery and power cooling devices.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of live, high-power electrical control systems on site for clients.
  • Collaborate with components' suppliers to remediate parts failures and improve testing requirements for UPS system components.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred if candidate has little to no industry experience.
  • Previous work experience or internships with electrical control systems strongly desired.
  • Familiarity with controls system design is preferred.
  • Proficiency in CAD, MatLab, and SimuLink is a plus.
  • Experience with UPS systems (electrical controls/cooling/topology analysis) is highly desirable.
