We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.

Job Summary:

Do you have conceptual familiarity and/or experience with any one of the following isolated converter topologies: flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge, forward, push-pull, resonant?

Raytheon's Effector Power and Analog Design (EPAD) Department is looking for senior level engineers who have power electronics knowledge to help design robust power systems for important national defense products. To succeed in this role you should be self-starter, a quick learner, be able to function in a dynamic environment, and have good time management skills.

EPAD is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of Telemetry and Flight Termination products; power systems from all up round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics supporting all mechanical motion in our products and low noise mixed signal electronics that provides the analog to digital interface to our front-end sensors. Each of these products generally operate in lower power and voltage ranges less than 10kW and 1000V.

We value diverse skills and experience, so don't hold back. Your qualification could add tremendous value to our team. Our customers come from all different backgrounds, and so do our employees. If you're passionate about what you could accomplish here, we'd love to hear from you.

The position is for the Tucson Location and is a hybrid role.

  • Architect at the circuit card stack level.
  • See circuit card and stack development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing.
  • Drive to meet schedule concerns. Define schedules for circuit, circuit card, and stack level tasking.
  • Guide ECAD drafters and junior engineers through layout and routing activities. Define layer stackup definitions. Drive decisions relating to creepage and clearance.
  • Lead medium sized teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution.
