Position: Journeyman Electrician - Oil & Gas Reports to: Operations Manager Location: Greeley, CO Job Brief: The Journeyman Electrician will provide on-site installation, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs for a customer's electrical products and equipment in the oil and gas industry. Duties & Responsibilities: Complete Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Quality Control (QC) redlines for as-built construction drawings. Reads and interprets schematics and drawings related to electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications. Repair and adjusts system components (sensors, transmitters, programmable logic controllers, etc.); removes and replaces defective parts. Ability to pull wire through conduits and holes; splice, join, and/or connect wire to form circuits. Ability to test circuits to ensure integrity and safety. Ability to use pressure and or electrical test equipment to troubleshoot systems. Completes daily field work orders and maintains hours worked and equipment used. Responsible for complete transfers for any inventory being utilized at the job site and provide monthly warehouse inventory reports. As part of the mentorship program, Senior Journeyman Technicians will complete on the job training documents for Junior Technicians. Ensures Control Tech's safety program is followed. Maintaining a high level of safety awareness and adherence and refrains from any task for which authorization and/or training has not been given. Attends and participates in monthly safety meetings. Report all incidents and or safety concerns immediately to field supervisor or site manager. Ensure all required safety tickets and training are up to date and completed. Must use all tools in a safe and responsible manner. Ability to read, interpret and understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) drawings. Maintains proper communication and professionalism with administration and management staff. On-call support as required. Other duties as required. Qualifications: Must have a JM License. High school diploma. Oil and Gas industry experience. Valid Class D Driver's License. Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug and Alcohol Screen. Ability to pass criminal background check. Participation in company provided safety training. Proactive and self-motivated approach to working; ability to seek out solutions and troubleshoot.
