Job Summary:

Raytheon's Integrated Electrical Solutions (IES) Center - Surface Based Effector Production (SBEP) Department is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to support the production and development of electrical subsystems used in our Land and Naval based programs.

A successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team and properly apply engineering tools and processes. A candidate willing to collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. Qualified candidates must have experience with digital, analog and/or RF testing and experience debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems. Knowledge of RF / microwave devices preferred.

  • This position is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment
  • Performing system and circuit level analysis
  • Supporting failure investigations
  • Maintaining and creating documentation
  • Interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior Engineering experience.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of Engineering experience with any of the following:
    • Hands-on radar systems design, system realization, and testing of HF and microwave radar systems.
    • Current or prior experience with airborne radar guidance section production and/or development.
    • Strong familiarity of RF component design, analysis, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
    • Strong familiarity with RF laboratory equipment including waveform generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and/or network analyzers.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizen are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Equivalent.
  • System integration experiences: radar hardware integration in lab and at site and developing test procedures.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of analog RF components, ADC and DAC performances.
  • Familiarity with industry standard RF circuit design software and PCB layout.
  • Practical experience in all phases of the product development lifecycle.
  • Experience in creation and/or improvement of engineering development processes.
  • Excellent track record for working effectively and collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who is capable of working independently.
  • The ability to acquire a Special Access Programs Clearance

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
