Electrical Engineer

Job Overview: We are seeking a talented individual for a hybrid role in electrical engineering. The selected candidate will be instrumental in various stages of project design and planning. This role involves representing the engineering team in professional settings, overseeing a group of designers and drafters, and potentially managing specific projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering tasks for various projects, ensuring coordination with project management and leadership teams.
  • Oversee the design and production of electrical systems. This includes attending project-related meetings, conducting site surveys, collaborating with other professional disciplines, and preparing comprehensive project documentation.
  • Manage the engineering aspects of assigned projects, ensuring technical accuracy in all contract documents.
  • Collaborate with leadership for project conceptualization and completion, adhering to predetermined schedules.
  • Coordinate with project managers and team members on technical project elements.
  • Ensure project work aligns with the initial proposal scope and budget constraints.
  • Uphold rigorous standards in the Quality Assurance/Quality Control process, communicating effectively with the project manager.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in electrical systems applicable to a variety of building types including commercial, institutional, medical, and large-scale residential projects.
  • Familiarity with state building codes, energy codes, and NFPA codes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with both staff and clients.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Hybrid Schedule: (2 days in office (Mon &Thurs) - 3 days remote) Working hours: 10am to 4pm (can vary)
