We are looking for a Process Engineer.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As a part of the plant staff, the Process Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining reliable and safe manufacturing systems, while improving quality, production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.
  • The main focus of this role is to support improvement of existing processes, design and maintain manufacturing systems, and develop best practices within the production process.
  • The Process Engineer works closely with the production and maintenance teams, and is responsible for reducing equipment downtime and scrap, improving line performance and quality throughput, reducing changeover times, and improving the plant's overall approach to preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • In addition, the Process Engineer supports and develops production and/or maintenance projects for the plant in Extrusion and Converting Departments, and provides guidance to the maintenance team on assigned tasks and projects.
  • The role also involves facilitating process/continuous improvement, identifying cost-savings and process improvement projects, and driving continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems and process improvements that optimize all phases of the productions process.
  • The Process Engineer creates and maintains process flow, PFMEA, Standard Operating Procedures, and line capability and performance documentation.
  • They also develop and maintain error-proofing methodologies, support, cost, estimate and document all engineering changes, and initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any quality non-conformances related to product, process, and systems.
  • Finally, the Process Engineer provides technical inputs for incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong skills and experience in mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing processes are required.
  • Experience in supporting and leading Lean manufacturing activities is a must.
  • Must possess analytical skills and knowledge of problem-solving techniques/tools.
  • Should be data-driven, disciplined, objective, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills are required, along with the ability to act as a business partner, "see the big picture, " and work through ambiguity and change.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Access, etc.) and other computer tools and software is necessary.
  • SAP experience is preferred.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening is required.
